Te mapa
Caaporã sits in the far south of Paraíba, a short distance inland from the Atlantic and close to the state line with Pernambuco. From above, the town appears as a tight cluster of streets surrounded by open agricultural land, with rural roads spreading out toward neighbouring settlements and the coast.
The surrounding landscape belongs to the northeastern coastal zone, where sugarcane has shaped land use for generations. On a map, this shows as large, regular parcels and farm tracks that contrast with the denser, finer grain of the town's residential blocks. Small watercourses and patches of green break up the pattern.
A Caaporã map poster reduces all of this to line and space. The dense core, the roads leaving it and the looser edges where streets give way to fields make a composition that is modest in scale but clearly readable, a plan of a working town on the Paraíba coastal plain.
The centre forms a dense knot of short blocks and intersecting streets, the most detailed part of the drawing and the natural focal point of the print.
Regional roads run outward from the town, linking it with the coastal settlements to the east and the wider road network of southern Paraíba.
Beyond the last streets, the map opens into broad field parcels and farm tracks, giving the composition a quiet border of empty space.
