Te mapa
Caloocan is one of the cities of Metro Manila, and its map has an unusual feature: it is split into two separate parts. South Caloocan is compact and densely built and borders Manila and Malabon. North Caloocan lies apart from it to the north-east, beyond Quezon City and Valenzuela, and reaches towards the edge of the metropolitan area.
The Bonifacio Monument, which honours the revolutionary leader Andrés Bonifacio, stands at the heart of South Caloocan at the northern end of EDSA. The area around it, known simply as Monumento, is a major junction of roads and rail. The city has long associations with the Philippine Revolution of 1896.
A Caloocan map poster centred on the southern district shows tight, fine-grained streets, the rail corridor and busy market areas pressing up against neighbouring cities. The larger northern section, with its more open, curving subdivisions, belongs just as much to the city's identity, and its split outline is part of what makes Caloocan distinctive.
The roundabout around the Bonifacio Monument marks the northern end of EDSA. Major roads and the elevated rail line converge here.
South Caloocan's streets form a tight mesh of small blocks and narrow lanes. It is among the most densely built parts of the metropolitan area.
Neighbouring cities separate Caloocan's two sections. This unusual arrangement gives the city one of the more curious outlines in Metro Manila.

Koteā ko Caloocan
For families in Caloocan, and for the many Filipinos abroad with roots in its barangays, a map of home has a direct emotional pull. The Monumento area is a landmark almost everyone in Metro Manila knows.
Add a barangay name, a family name or a date to the title and subtitle, and adjust the coordinates if you like. Choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand, as a $9 HD file or a printed poster.
