Te mapa
Capão Bonito is a town in the south of São Paulo state, in a region of rolling hills between the interior plateau and the Serra de Paranapiacaba. The name joins capão, a local word for an island of woodland in open country, with bonito, meaning beautiful. On the map the town forms a compact grid on gently sloping ground, surrounded by fields, farms and patches of forest.
To the south the land rises toward some of the largest remaining stretches of Atlantic Forest in the state, protected in parks such as Intervales. Capão Bonito serves as a gateway to this green belt. Closer to town, the map shows a network of rural roads linking farms and small settlements, with streams cutting shallow valleys through the countryside.
A Capão Bonito map poster shows a Brazilian interior town in clear lines. It has a regular centre of blocks and squares, larger lots at the edges and roads reaching into the hills. In black and white, the orderly grid and the more organic shapes of the countryside balance each other, and the map feels calm and grounded.
The town centre is laid out in a regular grid of streets and blocks, with public squares and the main church marking the heart of the map.
Around the town, fields and farm plots follow the gentle hills. Winding rural roads link them and create a loose, branching network on the map.
Toward the south the landscape grows more wooded and rugged as it rises into the ranges that hold some of São Paulo's Atlantic Forest reserves.
