Te mapa
Cariaco sits in the state of Sucre in northeastern Venezuela, just inland from the narrow eastern tip of the Gulf of Cariaco. From above, the town is a small cluster of blocks set into a lowland valley, with farmland and scattered roads spreading out toward the hills on either side. It is a modest place of around forty thousand people, and the map reads accordingly: tight, quiet and grounded.
The surrounding geography shapes most of what you see. The long gulf reaches in from the west like a finger of the Caribbean, while ridges rise to the north and south. The region lies along an active fault system, and in 1997 a strong earthquake struck Cariaco and nearby towns, an event still remembered locally. Offshore, the deep Cariaco Basin is studied by scientists for its layered seabed sediments.
A Cariaco map poster turns that setting into clean black lines on white: the grid of the town centre, the roads threading out into the valley and, depending on the framing, the edge of the gulf itself. It suits anyone with family roots in Sucre or memories of the Venezuelan east coast, and it works as a quiet, understated piece in a hallway or study.
The eastern end of the Gulf of Cariaco lies close to town, so a wider frame shows the shift from open water to marsh and flat coastal ground.
The town occupies a low valley between higher ground, and the way roads and field boundaries run along that corridor gives the poster a clear directional pull.
The central streets form a small, dense grid that reads well at every print size, surrounded by looser lanes that fade out into the countryside.

Koteā ko Cariaco
People hang Cariaco for the place itself rather than for fame: a hometown, a family story, a stretch of the Sucre coast once travelled. A map keeps that memory abstract and calm, fitting beside photographs without competing with them.
You can set your own title, subtitle and coordinates line, adding a surname or a year, and choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The digital HD set is $9, or order a matte print with an optional wooden frame.
