Te mapa
Caronno Pertusella lies in the province of Varese, in the dense urban belt between Milan and Saronno. Its double name reflects two historic settlements, Caronno and Pertusella, which now form a single municipality. On a map, the old cores can still be traced as small clusters of narrower streets within the continuous fabric of housing, workshops and roads that fills this part of Lombardy.
The railway toward Saronno runs through the town, a firm straight line that divides the street pattern and anchors the composition. Around it, residential streets mix irregular older lanes with more regular post-war blocks, and industrial sites and green spaces fill the gaps. The land is flat, part of the high plain that stretches north from Milan toward the lakes.
A Caronno Pertusella map poster shows how Lombard towns have grown together over the last century while keeping traces of the villages they began as. It suits residents, commuters who travel into Milan every day and anyone with family roots in the area, and it hangs well beside a map of Milan.
The older centres of Caronno and Pertusella remain visible as small knots of narrower, irregular streets inside the town's broader, more regular fabric.
The railway crosses the municipality in a firm straight line, dividing neighbourhoods and giving the map a strong central axis that the eye follows across the frame.
The flat ground north of Milan lets streets, fields and industrial plots spread evenly, producing a dense, balanced pattern with no dramatic relief.
