Te mapa
Cassanguidi is in Lunda Norte, the northeastern province of Angola known above all for its diamond deposits. The settlement itself is modest in size, a cluster of streets and plots on the high savanna. From above it is surrounded by a much larger landscape of wooded grassland, river valleys and scattered tracks leading off toward other communities and work sites.
Rivers in this part of Angola generally flow north toward the Congo basin. Their valleys, often lined with denser vegetation, are the strongest natural lines on the map. Mining activity in the province has also left its mark on the ground in many places, although the details change over time and differ from site to site.
A Cassanguidi map poster keeps the image simple and accurate. It shows the built area, the roads and tracks that reach it, and the watercourses that shape the land around it. It is a map of a remote place in a large province, drawn with the same care as any major city.
The built area forms a small, defined cluster. On the print it is the main point of density against a wide, lightly marked background.
Watercourses cross the surrounding plateau in long, winding lines. They are the most prominent natural features in this sparse part of Lunda Norte.
Unpaved roads and tracks lead out in several directions and connect the settlement to its region. They show up as thin, open lines on the map.
