Te mapa
Changhua lies on the western plain of central Taiwan, and from above its street pattern is dense and fine-grained, with narrow lanes filling the spaces between larger roads. On the eastern edge, the land rises to the Bagua Plateau, and the green slopes of Bagua Mountain form a clear boundary between the city and the hills.
The railway runs through the centre, and near Changhua Station stands a fan-shaped roundhouse, one of the last of its kind still in use in Taiwan. On the map, its semicircular shape is a small but distinctive detail among the rectangular city blocks. Beyond the centre, fields and villages stretch west toward the coast.
Changhua is one of Taiwan's oldest cities, and the large Buddha statue on Bagua Mountain has become its best-known landmark. A Chang-hua map poster captures the meeting of a historic city, a railway junction and the first rise of the hills, all within a compact frame.
The slopes of Bagua Mountain rise on the eastern edge of the city, forming an open green area that contrasts with the dense grid of streets below.
Near the station, a historic railway roundhouse arranges its tracks in a semicircle, a distinctive shape easily spotted among the city's blocks.
The central district is a fine mesh of narrow lanes and streets, typical of older Taiwanese cities, gathered around the railway and main roads.

Changhua is home to many families whose memories are tied to its temples, markets and the Buddha on the hill. A map poster brings that place into a calm, graphic form.
