Te mapa
Douliu is the seat of Yunlin County in central-western Taiwan. It lies on the eastern side of the county, where the broad farming plain begins to rise toward the foothills of the Central Mountain Range. From above, the city is a compact, fairly regular grid of streets surrounded by a patchwork of fields, irrigation channels and small villages.
The centre is arranged around the station on the main western railway line, with commercial streets and markets close by. Newer districts extend outward along the major roads. The county's government offices are concentrated here, which reflects Douliu's administrative role. A Douliu map poster shows a practical, well-ordered town with the countryside close on every side.
Douliu is also home to National Yunlin University of Science and Technology, whose campus appears as a large open block on the map. Yunlin is one of Taiwan's main farming counties, and the fine lines of field boundaries around the town give a delicate texture to a black-and-white print.
Streets converge on the railway station, forming a dense commercial centre from which the main roads lead out toward the surrounding townships.
The university grounds form a large, clearly defined block within the city, with open lawns and internal roads distinct from the surrounding grid.
Beyond the built-up area, rectangular fields and irrigation channels create a finely lined pattern that stretches west across the plain.
