Te mapa
Changqing is a district of Jinan, the capital of Shandong, lying to the southwest of the main city. On a map it looks like a place in transition between two landscapes: an expanding urban area with broad, straight roads on its flatter northern side, and a rising band of hills to the south that belongs to the foothills of the Taishan massif.
The built-up area is organised around wide arterial roads and large blocks, typical of recent Chinese urban growth, with a cluster of university campuses forming its own distinct quarter of quads, sports fields and courtyards. Beyond the edge of the grid, roads start to follow valleys and contours, and settlement thins into villages and orchards.
The district is home to Lingyan Temple, a long-established Buddhist site in the hills known for its clay arhat figures. A Changqing map poster captures that contrast between planned streets and hill country in a single frame, one that looks equally good in a study or a hallway.
A group of campuses shows up as large blocks filled with running tracks, courtyards and internal paths, a pattern quite different from the residential streets around it.
To the south the grid gives way to hills and valleys, where roads wind with the terrain and the map becomes quieter and more open.
Long, straight boulevards divide the newer districts into large rectangles, giving the urban part of the map a strong, regular structure.

Koteā ko Changqing
Changqing is a place many people know through study, through work in Jinan, or through family roots in the district. A map of it marks a specific chapter, whether that was four years on campus or a whole childhood near the hills.
Personalise it with a title, a subtitle and a coordinates line, and choose from Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Blueprint gives the planned grid a technical feel, while Paper softens the hills into something closer to an old printed map.
