Te mapa
Cixi occupies the northern part of Ningbo's territory, on the south side of Hangzhou Bay. The land here is low and very flat. Much of the northern plain was reclaimed from tidal flats over many centuries, and successive embankments pushed the shoreline further out into the bay. From above, the countryside is striped with straight channels and field boundaries.
The Hangzhou Bay Bridge, one of the longest sea crossings in the world, runs north from Cixi across the water towards Jiaxing. The city itself is a manufacturing centre, known in particular for household appliances. In the hills to the south, the Shanglin Lake area preserves kiln sites of Yue ware, the celadon pottery once made in this region.
A Cixi map poster captures a place shaped by water management. It shows the town centre, the lines of drainage and irrigation channels, and the shoreline of the bay. The long bridge striking out to sea is a dramatic line. It is a quiet, geometric composition with a clear sense of land built from the sea.
The bridge leaves the Cixi shore and stretches across the bay in a long, slightly curving line. It is a bold feature against the open water.
Straight channels and embankments divide the northern plain into regular bands. They record how the coastline advanced into the bay over time.
Low hills and reservoirs to the south break the flat land. They give the poster a contrasting texture at its lower edge.

Koteā ko Cixi
Cixi is home to many families whose lives are tied to its factories and farmland. For them the map is a specific, personal place. The bay and the bridge make it visually striking as well.
You can edit the title, subtitle and coordinates to name a town, a family or a date. The design comes in five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand.
