Te mapa
This part of southern Shanghai spreads across low, level ground between the Huangpu River and the shore of Hangzhou Bay. Seen from above, it is a landscape of water: straight irrigation channels, meandering creeks and small ponds break up the land into narrow strips, with roads often running parallel to the canals.
Modern development appears as clusters of broad rectangular blocks, set among older villages and fields. Wide expressways cross the area in long diagonal lines, linking it to central Shanghai to the north. A Fengxiang map poster captures this in-between character, where planned streets meet a much older pattern of waterways.
Along the southern edge, the land ends at a long, straight seawall facing Hangzhou Bay, a clean horizontal line that closes the composition. The contrast between the dense web of creeks inland and the open water beyond gives the map a calm, balanced structure.
A fine network of waterways covers the land, a reminder of how the Yangtze delta was drained and farmed long before the modern roads arrived.
The coastline forms a long, straight edge to the south, where the land stops at a seawall and the wide bay opens beyond.
Planned districts appear as clusters of large, regular blocks, set among fields and water in a pattern typical of Shanghai's outer areas.

Southern Shanghai is home to many who work in the city but live closer to the coast. A map poster of this watery landscape makes a quiet, understated piece for a new apartment, or a reminder of a family village near the bay.
