Te mapa
Huangpu District covers the oldest part of central Shanghai, on the west bank of the Huangpu River directly opposite the towers of Lujiazui. On a map it is a narrow, dense strip of streets with the river on its eastern side. The curve of the water sets the angle of the waterfront roads, and Suzhou Creek marks the northern edge.
The district contains several distinct street patterns. The Bund, with its row of early twentieth-century banks and trading houses, lines the river. Behind it, Nanjing Road runs west as a long commercial axis towards People's Square. To the south, an oval ring of roads laid over the line of the former walls encloses the old Chinese city, a maze of smaller lanes around Yu Garden.
Since merging with the former Luwan District in 2011, Huangpu also includes parts of the old French Concession and Xintiandi, with their shikumen lane houses and plane-tree streets. A Huangpu map poster brings these layers together: the colonial waterfront, the treaty-port grid, the walled-city oval and the river that made them all possible, seen at a single glance.
A gently curving riverside boulevard along the Huangpu forms the district's eastern edge and faces the Pudong skyline across a wide band of water.
Renmin Road and Zhonghua Road together trace an oval where the walls of old Shanghai once stood. The irregular lanes inside stand out sharply against the grid beyond.
This large open space at the western end of the district is surrounded by museums and civic buildings. It shows as a clear blank area where Nanjing Road and other major avenues meet.

Koteā ko Huangpu
Huangpu is the Shanghai most visitors remember and many residents grew up in: evening walks on the Bund, a lane house off Huaihai Road, an office overlooking the river. A poster of these streets makes a strong centrepiece. Add a title, a date and coordinates to make it yours.
Noir turns the river into a dark band and lets the street pattern glow, and Blueprint suits the dense grid. Classic black & white, Paper and Sand are available too. Choose a $9 download with six print sizes in PNG and PDF, or a printed matte poster shipped from partners in more than 30 countries.
