Te mapa
Yangpu occupies the north-eastern part of central Shanghai, along the curve where the Huangpu River bends towards the Yangtze. Its southern edge is a long river frontage, and the Yangpu Bridge, a large cable-stayed bridge opened in 1993, carries traffic across to Pudong. Inland, the district becomes a mix of residential blocks, campuses and wide roads running north.
For much of the twentieth century, the Yangpu riverfront was lined with factories, shipyards and a major power plant, and it was one of the centres of Shanghai's industry. Many of those sites have since become public parks and walkways along the water, reusing old industrial buildings.
A Yangpu map poster also shows the district's academic side. Fudan and Tongji universities have large campuses here, their quads and sports fields appearing as open spaces in the grid. Further north, roads meet at Wujiaochang, where five streets converge in a distinctive star-shaped junction.

The campuses of Fudan and Tongji form large, open blocks of lawns, playing fields and buildings, clearly visible among the denser residential streets.
Five roads meet at a single circular junction in the north of the district, a star-shaped node that stands out in the street plan.

Koteā ko Yangpu
Yangpu is where many people studied, and where others grew up next to the factories that once lined the river. A map of it holds both memories in the same frame.
Personalise the title with a campus name, a graduation year or coordinates, and choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. HD files cost $9, or order a printed poster with an optional wooden frame.
