Te mapa
Clinton is a residential city in Davis County, northern Utah, set on the flat bench of land between the Wasatch Mountains and the marshy shores of the Great Salt Lake. Its map is defined by the survey grid that shapes much of the region: long, straight arterial roads running north–south and east–west, dividing the land into large squares filled with neighbourhood streets.
Within those squares, the pattern changes. Curving drives, cul-de-sacs and loops fill the spaces between the section-line roads, a sign of the city's growth from farmland into suburban housing. A Clinton map poster brings out that contrast: the firm frame of the arterials holding a finer, more organic texture of residential streets, with parks and school grounds as open patches.
Clinton lies close to Hill Air Force Base and is part of the chain of communities that stretches along the Wasatch Front between Ogden and Salt Lake City. Westward the development thins out toward wetlands and fields near the lake, giving the edge of the map a gradual, open quality.
Straight, evenly spaced main roads divide the city into large square blocks, a legacy of the regional survey grid that gives the map a strong structure.
Inside each square, curving residential streets and dead-end loops create soft, repeating patterns that contrast with the rigid arterials around them.
Toward the Great Salt Lake, housing gives way to fields and wetlands, so the map fades from dense streets into wide, quiet space.
