Desa Parkcity is a planned township in the northwest of Kuala Lumpur, near Kepong, and on the map it looks exactly like what it is: a carefully designed community. Curving roads loop around clusters of homes. A large central park with a lake sits at the heart of the plan and gives the whole composition its focus.
The township was developed as a single master-planned project. It has become known for its walkable, landscaped layout, with pedestrian paths, a lakeside shopping area and gated neighbourhoods. Major roads run along its edges and link it to the rest of the Klang Valley. They also keep heavy through traffic away from the park at the centre.
