Te mapa
Ettumānūr is a town in Kottayam district in central Kerala, laid out along the Main Central Road, one of the state's key north–south routes. On a map the highway forms the spine, with smaller roads branching into a loose, green landscape of houses, coconut groves, paddy fields and waterways typical of this wet, low-lying region.
The town is best known for the Ettumanoor Mahadeva Temple, a major Shiva shrine famous for its old murals and its traditional festival. The temple compound gives the town a clear historic centre, and the roads around it show how the settlement grew outward from a religious focus rather than from a planned grid.
An Ettumānūr map poster reflects Kerala's distinctive settlement pattern, where town and countryside blend together instead of ending at a sharp boundary. Scattered lanes, the strong line of the highway and the calmer open areas make a composition that feels relaxed and uncrowded, well suited to a minimalist black-and-white design.
The MC Road runs straight through town and anchors the map, a busy corridor connecting Ettumānūr with Kottayam and other towns across central Kerala.
The famous Shiva temple and its surroundings form the historic core, with nearby streets arranged around the sacred compound rather than in a formal grid.
Away from the main road, narrow lanes spread through a landscape of palms, fields and water, creating an open, branching pattern typical of Kerala towns.
