Te mapa
Frankston East sits on the south-eastern fringe of greater Melbourne, roughly forty kilometres from the city centre, where the metropolitan area begins to give way to the Mornington Peninsula. On a map it reads as a residential suburb rather than a town: loops, crescents and short cul-de-sacs branching off a few longer through roads, with pockets of open space set between the housing.
West of the suburb the street pattern tightens around central Frankston and the railway, then stops abruptly at the shoreline of Port Phillip Bay. That contrast between a curling inland layout and a straight coastal edge gives a Frankston East map poster its structure, especially when the frame is widened to take in the bay and the older streets near the water.
Like many outer Melbourne suburbs, the area was laid out for car travel, and the plan shows it: roads follow gentle rises and drainage lines rather than a strict grid. In black and white, reserves, sports ovals and school grounds become calm pale shapes among the fine lines of local streets, and the whole composition feels quiet and orderly.
Residential streets bend into loops and dead ends rather than running straight, producing a soft, organic texture that fills the poster evenly and rewards a closer look at the streets around home.
Parks, sports grounds and school fields appear as open pale spaces between the streets, breaking up the pattern and giving the composition room to breathe.
A short distance west, central Frankston and the Port Phillip Bay shoreline provide a firm edge, and a wider crop brings water and suburb together in one balanced frame.

Koteā ko Frankston East
For people who grew up or raised a family here, the street plan holds very specific memories: the walk to school, the drive to the beach, the reserve at the end of the road. A map of Frankston East turns those everyday routes into something worth framing.
You can set your own title and subtitle, add a date such as a move-in day, and adjust the coordinates line. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, then download HD files for $9 or order a printed poster with an optional wooden frame.
