Gandevi is a town in the Navsari district of south Gujarat, a short distance inland from the Arabian Sea. The surrounding region is green and fertile, with orchards, sugarcane fields and villages set close together. From above, the town appears as a compact cluster of streets, with a denser old centre and newer growth along the main roads.
The older part of Gandevi is made up of narrow, winding lanes, while roads leading out of town run toward nearby Bilimora and Navsari. The Ambika river flows through the district nearby, and small watercourses cross the surrounding land.
