Te mapa
Gua Musang lies in southern Kelantan, in the forested interior of Peninsular Malaysia. Its name means civet cave, after the caves in the large limestone hill that rises sharply beside the old town. On a map, this massif appears as a solid, empty shape next to a dense cluster of streets.
The town grew along the East Coast railway line, and the old station area sits close to the limestone hill. A newer town centre developed later along the main highway. Around both, the map shows plantations, rivers and hills covered in rainforest, with roads winding through the valleys.
A Gua Musang map poster captures a town shaped by its terrain. The railway follows the valley, the streets squeeze into the flatter ground, and the limestone outcrop interrupts everything with a dark, steep presence. In print, it is a map with strong contrast between built-up land and wild terrain.
A steep karst hill rises beside the old town and gives the place its name. It forms a bold, empty shape at the centre of the poster.
The line runs through the valley past the old station. Its long curve connects the old and new parts of town.
Main roads wind between hills and plantations. They trace the landscape and give the poster flowing, organic lines.

Koteā ko Gua Musang
Anyone who has seen the limestone cliffs rising above the station remembers Gua Musang. A map shows why the town looks the way it does, pressed between the rock, the railway and the forest.
