Te mapa
Guatire lies in a valley in Miranda state, east of Caracas, and from above the landscape does most of the drawing. The urban area fills the flat valley floor and climbs into surrounding slopes, while forested hills close in on several sides. Roads follow the contours, so the street pattern is less a grid than a series of branches reaching into the folds of the terrain.
Guatire forms a continuous urban area with neighbouring Guarenas, and on the map the two blend along the main road that runs through the valley toward the capital. The older centre has a denser, more regular arrangement of streets, while newer housing developments occupy hillsides and former farmland at the edges.
Once an agricultural town, Guatire grew rapidly as a residential city for people working in the Caracas region. A Guatire map poster captures that setting, a city defined by its valley, with hills rising on every side and roads threading through the gaps between them.
The densest streets occupy the flat bottom of the valley, forming the core of the map, with the urban fabric thinning as the ground begins to rise.
Steep, largely green hills enclose the city, and on the poster they appear as open space that frames the settlement and gives it a clear, contained shape.
Guatire merges with neighbouring Guarenas along the valley, so the map shows one continuous urban band stretching westward toward Caracas.
