Te mapa
Gununo lies in the highlands of southern Ethiopia, in the South Ethiopia Regional State. On a map, it is a small, compact town where local roads meet, surrounded by densely cultivated countryside. The streets at the centre form a loose network, and the edges of the town fade into small farms and scattered homesteads across the hilly landscape.
The highlands of this part of Ethiopia are among the most densely farmed rural areas in the country. Small plots, enset gardens and paths cover the slopes. Towns like Gununo serve as local centres for markets, schools and services in the surrounding villages. Their shape is formed by roads and farmland rather than large planned districts.
A Gununo map poster shows a small highland town within its landscape. The centre of the town is small and focused. Roads leave toward neighbouring settlements, and the countryside around it adds fine texture from paths and plots. It is a quiet way to keep the memory of a home far away from the city.
The densest part of the town gathers where the main roads meet, the place where markets and everyday services are concentrated.
Around the town, the land is closely cultivated in small plots, with footpaths and homesteads spread across the green slopes.
Roads connect the town to other settlements of the southern highlands and form the few long lines that cross the rural map.

A Gununo poster is a personal piece for people who grew up in the southern highlands, or for families in Addis Ababa and abroad who want to remember home. It gives a small town the same careful treatment as any capital.
Add a family name, a year or a line in Amharic or English to the title and subtitle, and adjust the coordinates. Choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. HD files cost $9, and matte prints are available framed or unframed.
