Te mapa
Had Soualem lies in the Casablanca-Settat region of Morocco, on the flat, fertile Chaouia plain inland from the Atlantic coast. The land around it is level agricultural country, and the town has grown along the roads that cross it. The map shows a central area of close-set streets and newer residential districts extending outward in more regular blocks.
The name comes from Moroccan market tradition. Had refers to Sunday, the day of the weekly souk that gave the settlement its identity. Many rural towns in Morocco are named in this way after their market day. With Casablanca close by, Had Soualem has grown quickly as part of the city's wider orbit.
A Had Soualem map poster shows a town in transition, from older market core to planned new blocks, set against the open grid of fields. In black and white the mix of tighter older streets and more orderly newer sections becomes easy to read, a record of growth on the plain.
Flat, open farmland surrounds the town. Roads can run straight across it, and the settlement's edges meet cultivated land rather than hills or coast.
The name recalls the Sunday souk around which the town took shape. That market function still helps explain why roads converge on the centre.
Recent growth appears on the map as more regular, planned blocks at the town's edges. They contrast with the finer, older pattern nearer the centre.
