Te mapa
Hammamet sits at the base of the Cap Bon peninsula in north-eastern Tunisia, facing the wide, gently curved Gulf of Hammamet. On the map, the shoreline is the defining line: a long sweep of sand running north-east and south-west. The town's streets arrange themselves behind it in bands parallel to the sea.
The old medina stands right at the water's edge. It is a compact, walled square of narrow lanes, with the kasbah fortress at its seaward corner. Beyond the walls the modern town spreads out in hotel strips, gardens and low villas. Further south, the planned resort of Yasmine Hammamet forms a marina basin with neat curving streets.
A Hammamet map poster shows how closely life here follows the coast. It has been a winter retreat for artists and writers since the early twentieth century. Paul Klee painted here in 1914, and the villa of George Sebastian became a cultural centre that still hosts a summer festival.
The walled old town is a small, dense square on the shore. Its tight lanes contrast sharply with the open beach on either side.
To the south, the planned resort district curves around an enclosed marina basin, a clear geometric shape set into the coastline.
Beaches stretch for kilometres along the Gulf of Hammamet. They give the print one long, clean line where the town meets the sea.

Koteā ko Hammamet
Hammamet is a place people return to year after year, and a map keeps the shape of those summers: the medina walls, the path along the beach, the marina at the end of the evening walk.
Add a title, a subtitle such as the year of a trip, and the coordinates line, then pick one of five styles. Paper and Sand suit the whitewashed, sunlit feel of the coast, while Noir turns the gulf into a deep black field.
