Te mapa
Haripād lies in the Alappuzha district of Kerala, on the southern fringe of the low-lying Kuttanad region, where land and water mingle. Its map is shaped by that setting: the national highway runs through the town along the coast, smaller roads branch among houses and gardens, and canals and paddy fields fill the land nearby.
The town is known across Kerala for the Haripad Sree Subrahmanya Swamy Temple, one of the region's important shrines to Lord Murugan. The area is also closely linked to Kerala's snake boat traditions, and races on the nearby backwaters draw large crowds each year during the late monsoon festival season.
A Haripād map poster draws the town as a place of layered movement: the steady line of the highway, the looser pattern of village roads and the fine threads of canals running toward the backwaters. Houses spread out rather than stacking up, so the image is airy and detailed, typical of Kerala's semi-urban landscape.
The Subrahmanya Swamy Temple is the town's best-known landmark, and nearby streets gather around its grounds. On the poster this area forms a clear focal point amid the spread-out neighbourhoods.
Waterways and irrigation channels thread through the land around Haripād toward Kuttanad. Their fine, winding lines give the map a distinctive watery texture.
The national highway passes through the town on its way along Kerala's coast. It forms the map's firmest line, anchoring the looser web of local roads.
