Te mapa
Herriman occupies the southwest corner of Utah's Salt Lake Valley. Here the valley floor starts rising towards the Oquirrh Mountains. From above it is a place of looping streets, cul-de-sacs and new neighbourhoods, marked out by the wide arterial roads that follow the regional grid. To the west, the pattern stops abruptly at open, rising ground.
The town takes its name from Henry Harriman, one of the Mormon pioneers who settled the area in the 1850s. For most of its history it was a small farming community. In recent decades it has become one of the fastest-growing suburbs in the state, and the map shows that growth in its many fresh, unbroken street patterns.
A Herriman map poster captures a suburb in the middle of taking shape. The regular section-line roads contrast with the softer curves of the housing inside them, and the mountains hold the western edge of the frame.
West of town the land rises steeply into the Oquirrh range. On the map the streets run out, which leaves a clear boundary between suburb and mountain.
Wide roads follow the mile-square survey grid used across the valley. They form a straight frame that the curving residential streets fill in.
Inside each large block, neighbourhoods are drawn in loops, crescents and dead-end streets. At poster scale they produce an almost organic texture.

Koteā ko Herriman
A new home in a new neighbourhood deserves a record of how it looked when you arrived. A map of Herriman does that, and places your street within the wider valley and against the mountains that fill the western skyline.
You can set your own title and subtitle, such as a family name and the year you moved in, and edit the coordinates line. There are five styles to choose from: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand.
