Te mapa
Hod HaSharon lies in Israel's Sharon plain, northeast of Tel Aviv and next to Kfar Saba. The city was formed in 1964 when several earlier agricultural settlements merged: Magdiel, Ramatayim, Hadar and Ramat Hadar. Each had grown up among citrus groves.
That history still shows on the map. Instead of one grid, the city is a set of neighbourhoods with their own orientations, joined by main roads that were once the lanes between them. Low-rise housing, gardens and parks give the plan an open, suburban texture. Remnants of the orchards and farmland survive at the edges.
Newer districts have filled many of the gaps, but you can still read the original settlements in the street pattern. A Hod HaSharon map poster suits anyone who knows which part of town is which, and who can see the old village outlines inside the modern city.
The city grew from several settlements joined in 1964. Each area keeps its own street orientation, so the map looks like a mosaic of small grids.
A few longer roads tie the neighbourhoods together. On the map they form a loose framework between the separate street clusters.
At the edges of the city, remnants of farmland and groves open up the map. They recall the citrus country the town grew out of.

For residents and former residents, this map shows which neighbourhood they came from and how the parts fit together. It is quiet enough for a living room and specific enough to feel personal.
Add a title and subtitle, for example a family name and a year, and edit the coordinates line. There are five styles to choose from: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand.
