Te mapa
Ilhabela is an island municipality off the northern coast of São Paulo state, centred on São Sebastião Island. Most of the island is steep, forested and protected as a state park, so the settlements are confined to a narrow coastal strip, mainly on the western side facing the mainland across the São Sebastião channel.
From above, the contrast is striking. A single coastal road follows the shoreline in a long curve, with the small grid of the historic village and a chain of beaches along it, while the interior shows almost no streets at all. Ferries cross the channel to São Sebastião on the mainland.
The waters around the island are known for their many shipwrecks and for sailing, and the channel is a popular racing ground. An Ilhabela map poster shows an island defined by its coastline: an irregular, rugged outline, a thin inhabited edge and a large, quiet interior of mountain and forest.
The narrow São Sebastião channel separates the island from the mainland, a calm band of water that frames the western coast and gives the map a strong vertical line.
One main road follows the western shore, linking beaches, the old village and the ferry landing, and on the map it reads as a single thread tracing the island's edge.
The mountainous centre of the island is largely protected parkland, almost free of roads, so it appears on the poster as a broad, open space surrounded by coastline.

Koteā ko Ilhabela
Ilhabela is a place people return to for sailing, diving, hiking or long weekends away from São Paulo. A map of the island is an easy reminder of a favourite beach, a house by the channel or a memorable crossing.
You can add a title, subtitle and coordinates, perhaps the name of a beach or a holiday date, and choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Order a printed poster or download HD files for $9.
