Itārsi Map Poster & Print

Itārsi lies in Narmadapuram district in Madhya Pradesh, on the plain between the Narmada River to the north and the Satpura hills to the south. What shapes it most on a map is the railway: several main lines meet here, and the tracks, sidings and yards cut through the town in broad bands.

It is one of the best-known junctions on Indian Railways, where the routes linking Delhi with Chennai and Mumbai with Kolkata cross. Much of the town grew around that role, with markets, railway colonies and housing arranged on both sides of the lines and joined by bridges and level crossings.

An Itārsi map poster turns that infrastructure into a design. The long, gently curving rail lines contrast with the smaller grid of streets around them, and the yards look like combed stripes across the paper. It suits anyone who knows the town, or anyone who loves railways.

Wide bands of sidings and yards form striped shapes on the map, the most recognisable feature of the town from above.

03

Between river and hills

The Narmada lies to the north and the Satpura range rises to the south, placing the town on a plain crossed by important routes.
