Te mapa
Amravati sits in the Vidarbha region of eastern Maharashtra, on largely level ground of the Deccan plateau. From above, the older core appears as a dense network of short, irregular lanes, surrounded by wider roads and more open residential areas that have grown up around it over the last decades.
To the south lies Badnera, whose railway junction connects the city to the main line between Mumbai and Kolkata. The two settlements are administered together as one municipal corporation, and on the map the road running between them links two distinct clusters of streets into a single urban shape.
The city takes its name from the goddess Amba, and the Ambadevi temple is one of its best-known places of worship. An Amravati map poster shows a regional centre in simple lines, with an older core, a railway town and the roads that tie them together.
Narrow, irregular streets form a dense pattern at the heart of the city, clearly different from the more open layout of later neighbourhoods.
A main road connects Amravati with Badnera and its railway junction, joining two separate street networks into one continuous municipal area.
Flat terrain lets the city spread evenly in all directions, so the map reads as a balanced, rounded shape without sharp natural borders.
