Te mapa
Ituango lies in the north of Antioquia, Colombia, in steep Andean terrain above the canyon of the Cauca River. The town occupies a narrow patch of sloping ground, and on a map its streets form a small, fairly regular block pattern that bends to fit the ridge, with roads zigzagging away down the hillsides. Around it, the landscape is a dense composition of ridgelines, ravines and mountain streams.
The municipality gives its name to the Hidroituango project, a large hydroelectric dam on the Cauca designed to be the biggest power plant in Colombia. Its reservoir appears on wider maps as a long, sinuous body of water threading through the canyon. Part of Paramillo National Natural Park, a large protected area of forest and páramo, also falls within the municipality's territory.
An Ituango map poster rewards a thoughtful choice of frame. A close crop shows the compact town holding to its slope; a wider one brings in the canyon and the reservoir. Blueprint makes the water stand out clearly, while Noir emphasises the drama of the terrain. Digital HD files cost $9, and printed posters on matte paper are available.

The Cauca River cuts a deep canyon below the town, and the reservoir created by the Hidroituango dam traces a long winding line through the valley.
Roads leading out of Ituango twist in tight curves down the slopes, drawing fine looping lines that show the steepness of the terrain on the poster.

Koteā ko Ituango
Ituango is a place people carry with them, whether they left for Medellín or beyond or have stayed through difficult years. A map of the town and its mountains is a way to keep its geography close, from the central streets to the roads down to the river.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line with a family name, a date or a few words in Spanish. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, and download the HD files or order a printed poster with an optional wooden frame.
