Te mapa
Jawi is a town in the Seberang Perai Selatan district of Penang, on the Malaysian mainland across the strait from George Town. From above, it is a modest cluster of streets and houses surrounded by flat, low-lying land, much of it given over to rice fields, plantations and small waterways. Roads run out from the town across this plain toward neighbouring settlements.
This southern part of mainland Penang is more rural in character than the busy island and the industrial areas further north. The landscape is shaped by rivers and drainage channels that cross the plain, and on a map these appear as fine lines weaving between fields and villages.
A Jawi map poster shows a quiet, balanced composition: a compact centre, radiating roads and a wide, gently textured backdrop of fields and water. In black and white, the simplicity of the layout lets each line stand out, creating a restrained portrait of a small Malaysian town.
The built-up area is small and clearly defined, a cluster of streets and lanes that forms a natural focal point at the centre of the poster.
Waterways and drainage channels cross the flat land around the town, forming thin winding and straight lines that add texture to the open areas of the map.
Rice fields and farmland stretch around Jawi, leaving broad open spaces that frame the town and reflect the rural character of southern mainland Penang.

Koteā ko Jawi
Jawi is the kind of town that means a lot to those who know it: a kampung, a school, family gatherings. A map of it brings that sense of home to a wall in Kuala Lumpur, Singapore or further afield.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates, perhaps with a family name or special date, and choose one of five styles. The HD files cost $9, and printed posters on matte paper are available with an optional wooden frame.
