Te mapa
Jizan lies on the Red Sea coast in the far south-west of Saudi Arabia, close to the border with Yemen. From above, the city is shaped by the sea along its edges, with a long corniche, the port basins and a modern street grid spreading inland across flat coastal land. Main avenues cut straight lines through the blocks, and the outskirts fade into open plain.
The city is the capital of Jazan Region and the gateway to the Farasan Islands, reached by ferry from its port. In the older part of town, a low hill is crowned by the Dosariyah Fort, a historic fortress overlooking the harbour. The wider region is known for farming on the coastal plain and for the mountains inland, where coffee and fruit are grown.
A Jizan map poster turns the coastline and grid into a clean, graphic composition. The sea becomes a broad open field, the port basins appear as sharp geometric shapes and the streets form a neat mesh inland. It is a thoughtful image for residents, for people who have worked in the region and for anyone who has sailed to Farasan from its harbour.
The shoreline wraps around the city, giving the poster a strong edge and a wide expanse of open water that balances the dense blocks on land.
The harbour's straight quays and breakwaters form crisp geometric shapes, the departure point for ferries heading out to the Farasan Islands.
In the older part of the city, streets curve around the low hill of the Dosariyah Fort, a small but distinctive break in the regular grid.
