Te mapa
Kabompo is a district town in the North-Western Province of Zambia, and it takes its name from the Kabompo River, one of the larger tributaries of the upper Zambezi. From above, the river is the main feature: a broad, winding channel with the town set on the land beside it.
The settlement is small and loosely built. A few main roads cross the town, and the housing areas around them follow a mix of planned blocks and informal paths. Around this, the map opens into the woodland and floodplain typical of the region, crossed by only a handful of tracks.
A Kabompo map poster is simple and spacious. The river gives the frame its curve, the roads give it direction, and the town itself sits between them as a modest cluster of lines. In black and white, the result is calm and uncluttered, closer to a landscape study than a dense street plan.
The river winds past the town in wide bends, the most prominent shape on the poster and the reason the settlement exists where it does.
A principal road runs through town, linking Kabompo to other centres in the province and giving the map a clear straight axis.
Beyond the built-up area, woodland and floodplain leave most of the frame open, marked only by thin tracks and minor paths.

Koteā ko Kabompo
A Kabompo print suits people who were born there, worked in the district, or spent time in North-Western Province and want a clean reminder of the place. The river alone makes the map immediately recognisable to anyone who knows it.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can all be personalised, and you can choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Download the HD files for $9 or order a printed poster.
