Te mapa
Kajansi lies in Wakiso District, along the main road that connects Kampala with Entebbe, and much of its growth follows that route. On a map the town appears as a strip of dense development along the highway. Residential roads branch off into the ridges and valleys typical of the landscape around Uganda's capital.
The land here is gently rolling, so side roads rarely run straight for long. They follow ridgelines and curve around lower ground, where swamps and wetlands connected to Lake Victoria break up the built pattern. These pale, unbuilt patches are part of what gives the local map its shape: a network of streets threaded between water and slope.
A Kajansi map poster suits people who live in this part of greater Kampala or travel the Entebbe road often enough to know every junction. The composition balances the firm line of the highway with the looser lanes of the hillsides and the open spaces of the wetlands. It is a quiet, honest portrait of a town that is still growing.
The highway between Kampala and Entebbe forms the town's spine, with shops and homes concentrated along it and side roads branching away in both directions.
Residential roads follow the gentle ridges and slopes, bending with the terrain and giving the outer parts of the map a loose, organic pattern.
Low-lying swampy ground linked to the lake leaves irregular unbuilt spaces between neighbourhoods, soft blank shapes that give the poster breathing room.
