Te mapa
Kajiado is the administrative centre of Kajiado County, south of Nairobi in Kenya's Rift-side grassland. On a map it appears as a modest town gathered along the main road that runs south towards the Tanzanian border at Namanga, with a loose web of local streets on either side and very little else for kilometres around.
The county is Maasai country, and the landscape is dominated by semi-arid plains used for grazing. That openness shapes the map: the town reads as a single concentration of lines in a large, quiet field, with seasonal watercourses and dirt tracks drawn faintly across the surroundings.
A Kajiado map poster makes the most of that contrast. The highway gives the composition a strong spine, the town adds a knot of detail, and the rest of the sheet stays light. It is a restrained image, closer to a drawing of a landscape than a crowded street plan, and it suits a clean, uncluttered wall.
The main road from Nairobi towards Namanga passes by the town and becomes the strongest line in the frame, a straight, decisive stroke that anchors the whole composition.
Kajiado's streets form a compact, irregular cluster beside the road, with government offices, markets and homes packed into a small area compared with the land around it.
The surrounding savanna appears as open space crossed by thin tracks and seasonal streams, giving the poster a spare, airy quality typical of the southern Kenyan rangelands.

Koteā ko Kajiado
For people from Kajiado, or those who have worked or lived there, the map is a reminder of a place defined by distance and open sky. Its sparse layout sits well in modern interiors and never feels busy.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates, perhaps with a family name or a meaningful date, and choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The HD download costs $9, or order a matte print with an optional wooden frame.
