Te mapa
Kajiya lies in the interior of Hyōgo Prefecture, away from the busy coastline of the Inland Sea. The map here is shaped by the typical landscape of rural western Japan: narrow valleys with flat farmland on their floors, forested hills rising on either side, and settlements gathered along the roads and watercourses that follow the valleys.
From above, the contrast between these elements is strong. Rice paddies form a fine patchwork of small rectangular plots, houses cluster in compact groups at their edges, and the hills appear as broad blank spaces with only a few winding roads. A Kajiya map poster renders this in clean monochrome, emphasising how the built area follows the lie of the land.
Kajiya is a modest place without a famous skyline, and its appeal on paper lies precisely in that quietness. For someone with family here, or who has lived or worked in the area, the map records a specific home among the valleys of Hyōgo rather than a generic image of rural Japan.
Flat land between the hills is divided into small, regular paddy plots, creating a finely ruled texture that fills much of the map's lower ground.
Forested slopes rise around the settled areas and appear as open, unmarked space, framing the community and giving the composition a strong sense of enclosure.
Main routes follow the valley rather than crossing the hills, so houses and junctions line up along them in a clear, linear pattern.

Rural places are often left out of the maps people hang, yet they are frequently the ones with the strongest personal ties. A print of Kajiya can mark a grandparents' home, a childhood summer, or a period spent living in the Hyōgo countryside.
You can add a title, subtitle and coordinates line, and choose one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Every digital order includes six print sizes, from A3 and A2 to 24×36″, as 300 DPI PNG and print-ready PDF files with no watermark.
