Te mapa
Kalymnos lies in the Dodecanese, north of Kos and just south of Leros. From above it is a mountainous, heavily folded island. Bare limestone ridges run through it and separate a handful of fertile valleys, and the coastline is cut into steep bays and headlands. To the west, the islet of Telendos sits just offshore, across a narrow channel from the main island.
Pothia, the main town and port, fills a broad valley on the south coast, with houses spreading up the slopes on both sides of the harbour. One road winds north-west over a pass to the villages on the west coast. Another leads to Vathy, where a narrow inlet reaches inland into a green valley. A Kalymnos map poster shows how these valleys organise the whole island.
Kalymnos has a long tradition of sponge diving, and for generations its divers worked across the eastern Mediterranean. More recently, its limestone cliffs have made it one of Europe's best-known rock climbing destinations. Routes run along the western slopes, and climbers come from around the world, mostly in spring and autumn.
The island's main town spreads around a wide southern bay and climbs the hills on both sides. Its dense streets and quays make it the busiest part of the map.
On the east coast, a long, narrow inlet reaches into a valley of citrus groves. It is one of the most distinctive shapes on the island.
A small, steep islet off the west coast, separated from Kalymnos by a narrow strait and facing the climbing villages across the water.

Koteā ko Kalymnos
Kalymnos is a map for climbers, divers and families with roots in the sponge-diving tradition. Its stark ridges and deep bays make a bold, graphic poster that works well in a hallway, a gym or a study.
You can add a route name, a year or your coordinates in the title and subtitle, and choose from five styles. Every download includes six sizes, each as a 300 DPI PNG and a print-ready PDF, with no watermark.
