Pserimos lies in the narrow waters between Kos and Kalymnos in the Dodecanese. The island is small, rocky and mostly bare. Its outline is irregular, with a few coves and headlands. The only real settlement is a village around a sandy bay, where boats from the larger neighbouring islands come in during the day.
Few people live on Pserimos all year. In summer, day-trip boats bring visitors from Kos and Kalymnos, and in the evening the island returns to a much quieter rhythm. There are almost no roads, so paths and the coastline shape its map.
