Te mapa
Kātoya, also known as Katwa, sits on the west bank of the Bhagirathi-Hooghly in Purba Bardhaman district, at the point where the Ajay River flows in from the west. The confluence gives the town its shape on a map: built-up streets pressed into the angle between two rivers, with sandbars, meanders and floodplain fields spreading around them.
The older part of town lies close to the river, with narrow lanes, ghats and temples concentrated near the water. Farther inland, streets spread out more loosely toward the railway, where Katwa's station connects lines toward Bardhaman, Bandel and Azimganj. Ferries cross the Bhagirathi to the villages on the far bank.
Kātoya holds a special place in Bengal's Vaishnava tradition as the place where Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu took sannyasa in 1510, and devotees still visit the sites associated with that moment. A Kātoya map poster brings river, rail and old town together in one composition, shaped above all by the meeting of two waters.
The Ajay River meets the Bhagirathi at the town's edge, and the meeting of their channels, bends and sandbars gives the map its most memorable shape.
Close to the water, narrow lanes, ghats and temples form a dense quarter whose fine, irregular lines contrast with the broad river beside it.
Rail lines converge on Katwa station from several directions, drawing long straight strokes across the plain toward Bardhaman, Bandel and Azimganj.

Koteā ko Kātoya
For pilgrims, for families from Purba Bardhaman and for anyone who knows the banks of the Bhagirathi, a map of Kātoya carries both devotion and memory. It is a quiet, meaningful piece that feels at home in a study or a family room.
Personalise the title, perhaps as Katwa or Kātoya, add a subtitle and a date, and edit the coordinates. Of the five styles, Blueprint brings out the two rivers, Paper suits the town's devotional history, and Classic black & white keeps the confluence clearly defined.
