Te mapa
Khosta is part of Greater Sochi, on the Black Sea coast between the city centre and Adler. It grew where the Khosta River leaves the hills and reaches the sea, and the map follows that meeting point closely. A narrow coastal strip carries the railway and the main road, a valley runs inland along the river, and streets climb steeply up the slopes on both sides, following the contours in tight bends.
Khosta is best known for the yew and boxwood grove in the hills above the town, an old protected forest that is part of the Caucasus Biosphere Reserve. Its trails and gorges attract walkers who come for the shade and the ancient trees. On the map, the forested slopes appear as a broad, open area where the built-up streets stop.
A Khosta map poster makes the terrain easy to follow even without contour lines. The streets bunch together where the ground is gentle and spread out as the hills rise. The coast forms a firm edge on one side, and the river valley cuts inland like a wedge. This is a small resort shaped almost entirely by its geography.
The Khosta River reaches the sea through the centre of the district. The valley it follows sets the direction of the main streets heading inland.
Roads on the hillsides bend repeatedly to handle the slope. On the poster they appear as winding lines that show how steep the ground is.
The shoreline and the coastal railway run side by side along the sea. Together they form a strong edge at the bottom of the composition.

Koteā ko Khosta
Khosta stays in the memory of people who have spent summers there: the walk down to the pebble beach, the climb back up through the trees. A map puts the sea, the valley and the slopes into one frame.
Add a title, a summer year or the name of a guesthouse as the subtitle, and adjust the coordinates. Blueprint suits the sea edge well. Paper and Sand give the poster a warmer, holiday feel.
