Te mapa
Kishorganj lies in the Dhaka Division, on the low alluvial plain north-east of the capital, where rivers, canals and ponds are as much a part of the map as roads. The town grew along the Narasunda River, and its older core follows the water rather than any planned grid.
Seen from above, the town is a dense cluster of narrow lanes and small blocks, broken by rectangular ponds and patches of green. Roads leave the centre in several directions toward surrounding villages and rice fields, and further east the district opens into the haor wetlands, seasonal basins that fill with water during the monsoon.
The town is widely known for the Sholakia Eidgah, a large open prayer ground that hosts one of the biggest Eid congregations in the country. On a Kishorganj map poster the ground appears as a clear open rectangle beside the river, one of the few large empty spaces in an otherwise tightly woven town.
The river curves through the town and gives the street pattern its direction, with lanes and buildings pressing close to both banks.
The broad open prayer ground reads as a clean geometric space among the small blocks, a simple shape with a very large significance.
Scattered rectangular ponds punctuate the residential areas, forming small pale shapes that give the drawing a rhythm typical of towns on the Bengal plain.

Koteā ko Kishorganj
Many people from Kishorganj live far from it, in Dhaka or abroad. A map of the town is a quiet way to keep the river, the neighbourhood and the route to the Eidgah on the wall, without needing a photograph to explain it.
The poster can carry a family name, a year or a line in Bangla or English, plus the coordinates. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, then download the HD files for $9 or order a printed copy.
