Te mapa
Komatsushimachō lies on the eastern coast of Tokushima Prefecture, just south of Tokushima city, facing the Kii Channel. From above the coastline is the dominant feature: a series of harbour basins, breakwaters and straight-edged reclaimed land that give the shore an engineered, angular outline quite unlike the natural curves of the coast further south.
Inland the town becomes a mixture of residential streets, rivers and small wooded hills rising from the plain. This combination of flat ground and scattered green high points is common along Shikoku's coasts, and it produces a map with strong contrasts between the geometric port areas and the softer natural shapes behind them.
The port has long served as a gateway on this side of the island, with shipping across the channel. A Komatsushimachō map poster records a working waterfront at a human scale: quays and piers, the roads and rail line that serve them, and the neighbourhoods set back from the water between the hills.
Breakwaters and quays form sharp, straight edges along the shore, giving the eastern side of the map a strongly geometric, engineered character.
Small hills rise from the flat plain within and around the town, appearing as green islands that break up the pattern of streets.
Between port and hills lies low ground crossed by rivers, roads and the rail line running south along the Shikoku coast.

Koteā ko Komatsushimachō
A map of Komatsushima suits people who have worked in the port, grown up in the town or have family in Tokushima. Its mix of straight quays and soft hills makes an unusually varied composition for a small place.
Add your own title, subtitle and coordinates line, and choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Noir gives the harbour basins a clean, graphic presence against the dark background.
