Te mapa
Komodo Island lies in the Lesser Sunda chain, between Sumbawa and Flores. Its outline is sharply irregular. Ridges of dry, grassy hills run out into long headlands, and deep bays cut in between them. From above there are almost no roads, just walking trails from ranger posts and one village, Kampung Komodo, on the eastern coast.
The island is the centre of Komodo National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site set up to protect the Komodo dragon. This is the largest living lizard, found only here and on a few nearby islands. Visitors usually land at Loh Liang, a ranger station on a bay in the north-east, and walk the trails with guides.
A Komodo Island map poster also shows the neighbouring islands and the channels between them. Strong currents run through these waters, drawing divers from around the world. Along the coast, Pink Beach is known for sand tinted by fragments of red coral.

Long ridges run out into the sea, with deep bays between them. Together they give the island its ragged, many-armed outline.
The one village on the island, on the eastern coast. It is the only real cluster of buildings on the print.

Komodo is a once-in-a-lifetime trip for many people, a boat journey from Labuan Bajo and a walk among the dragons. Its jagged outline makes a bold, graphic poster that feels both wild and precise.
