Te mapa
Konārka, better known as Konark, lies on the coast of Odisha, a short distance inland from the Bay of Bengal and between the cities of Puri and Bhubaneswar. The landscape is flat and sandy, with casuarina plantations and scrub between the town and the sea. From above, the settlement is small, but it gathers around one large, clearly defined site.
That site is the Sun Temple, whose walled enclosure forms a strong rectangular shape at the centre of the map. Streets and lanes grow outward from it, while the coastal road toward Puri runs close to the shoreline. A Konārka map poster shows the temple precinct, the modest town and the long, straight coastline in one frame.
The Sun Temple was built in the thirteenth century and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It was designed as a colossal chariot for the sun god Surya, with carved stone wheels along its base and horses at the front. The temple draws visitors from across India and abroad, and the nearby coastline adds a quieter counterpoint to the monument.
The rectangular enclosure of the temple dominates the centre of the map, a bold geometric shape among the small streets of the town.
A long, nearly straight shoreline runs to the southeast, giving the poster a clean edge where land meets open sea.
The road toward Puri follows the coast in a long line, linking Konārka to the wider pilgrimage and tourism route of Odisha.

Koteā ko Konārka
A map of Konārka is a way to remember a visit to one of India's great monuments without reaching for a photograph. The clear outline of the temple site gives the poster a strong focal point that works in modern interiors.
You can add a title, a subtitle such as a travel date, and a coordinates line. Choose from Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, with Sand suiting the coastal setting especially well.
