Te mapa
Krasnoturinsk sits on the eastern slope of the northern Urals, where the Turya river widens into a pond before running on through forest. From above, the town reads as a compact block of streets on the river's banks. Beyond it, rail spurs, industrial sites and scattered settlements thin out into woodland that runs to the edge of the frame.
The town began as Turyinskiye Rudniki, a settlement built around copper mines. In the Soviet period aluminium smelting became its main industry, and the scale of that works still shows as a large, orderly shape among the housing districts. Alexander Popov, a pioneer of radio, was born here in 1859, and the town still marks the connection.
A Krasnoturinsk map poster shows a place defined by water and industry more than monuments. The pond gives the composition a calm open centre, the street grid gives it weight, and the thinning roads at the edges show how quickly settlement turns to forest in the Urals. In black and white, the contrast between built blocks and empty land is especially clear.
The river widens into a long body of water beside the town, forming the largest blank shape on the map and setting the direction of the streets around it.
The large, rectilinear works and rail lines of the smelter sit apart from the residential districts, a reminder that the town grew around mining and metal.
Past the last streets, the map empties quickly. Only a few roads and tracks run out into the forest, which frames the town on every side.

Koteā ko Krasnoturinsk
For people who grew up in Krasnoturinsk or worked at its plants, the map is a quiet record of home: the pond, the familiar street layout and the roads out of town. It suits a hallway or study, where a plain, graphic image fits.
You can add your own title, subtitle and coordinates, for example a family name or a year of arrival. Choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, and download the HD files or order a printed poster.
