Te mapa
Kuala Lipis is in central Pahang, at the point where the Lipis River meets the Jelai. The confluence shapes the town. The older shophouse streets sit on the low ground beside the water, and colonial-era buildings stand on the surrounding hills. It was the capital of Pahang until the administration moved to Kuantan in the 1950s.
Gold mining brought people here, and the British built a district seat with offices, a school and a residence on the higher ground. The railway through Malaysia's interior, often called the Jungle Railway, passes through town and adds a long curve along the river.
A Kuala Lipis map poster captures the two rivers joining, the compact riverside grid, the roads winding onto the hills and the rail line tracing the valley. Dense rainforest and plantations surround everything, and on the poster they appear as empty space.
The Jelai and Lipis rivers meet at the edge of town. The fork is the strongest shape on the poster and the reason the town exists.
Administrative buildings from the colonial period sit on the higher ground. The roads leading to them curve around the hills above the old town streets.
The interior railway line runs through town along the valley. It draws a smooth arc that connects Kuala Lipis to the rest of the peninsula.

Koteā ko Kuala Lipis
Kuala Lipis attracts people with family ties to Pahang, history enthusiasts and travellers who have taken the slow train through the interior. The map shows an old capital on its two rivers, which few people outside Malaysia know about.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates, perhaps with a year or a family name. The Paper and Sand styles suit the colonial architecture, while Noir brings out the rivers. Printed posters ship from partners in more than 30 countries.
