Te mapa
Küçükçekmece takes its name from the lake on its western edge, a large lagoon separated from the Sea of Marmara by a narrow strip of land. On the map the water forms a wide, smooth shape, and the district's dense street network ends abruptly against it, giving the composition a strong natural border.
East of the lake, neighbourhoods such as Sefaköy, Halkalı and Atakent spread across gently rolling ground. Major east–west routes, including the D-100 highway and the suburban rail line that ends at Halkalı, cut through the fabric and link the district to central Istanbul, while newer housing estates on the fringes show larger, more regular blocks.
A Küçükçekmece map poster captures a side of Istanbul that visitors rarely see: not minarets and old quarters, but the everyday city where a great many residents actually live. The meeting of lake, shoreline and packed streets produces a composition that feels balanced and specific to this corner of the metropolis.
The lagoon fills the western part of the map as a broad open shape, connected to the Sea of Marmara by a short channel near the coast.
To the south the district meets the Sea of Marmara, and the coastline forms a gentle, continuous edge beneath the densely built-up area.
The suburban rail line across Istanbul's European side ends at Halkalı, and its straight track is one of the clearest lines running through the district.

Koteā ko Küçükçekmece
For anyone who grew up in or moved to this part of Istanbul, the map records a place that rarely appears on souvenirs. The lake gives the poster a clear focal point, so it reads well even at the smaller print sizes.
Personalise the title with a neighbourhood, a family name or a moving-in date, and edit the subtitle and coordinates. Five styles are available: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand, the last two suiting the lakeside setting particularly well.
