Te mapa
Kūhdasht lies in Lorestan Province in western Iran, in the folded ranges of the Zagros Mountains. Its name combines the Persian words for mountain and plain, which describes the setting accurately. From above, the town occupies a comparatively level valley floor, while long ridges and higher ground close in on the surrounding landscape and shape where roads can run.
The street layout is compact, with main roads leading through the centre and newer neighbourhoods extending across the flatter land. Beyond the town, fields spread across the valley, and roads leave in the few directions the terrain allows. The wider area around Kūhdasht is also known to archaeologists for early settlement and rock art, a reminder of how long people have lived in these valleys.
A Kūhdasht map poster captures the contrast between the town and its setting. The street network forms a dense, readable centre, while the lines thin out towards the valley edges. In darker styles such as Noir, the pattern of the town stands out sharply against the empty ground around it.

Main roads meet in a dense core of short streets, with newer residential blocks spreading outward across the flatter parts of the valley.
Routes out of town follow the valley and the gaps between ridges, so the road network reveals the lie of the land even without contour lines.

Koteā ko Kūhdasht
Families from Lorestan often keep strong ties to their home towns, even after moving to Tehran or abroad. A map of Kūhdasht is a quiet way to keep that connection visible: specific, recognisable and free of clutter.
