Te mapa
La Troncal sits in the western lowlands of Ecuador's Cañar province, where the land flattens out below the Andes and runs toward the coast. From above, the town is a tight, orderly grid of blocks, with its edges quickly giving way to open cultivated land. The street pattern is simple and regular, the kind of layout that reads cleanly once colour and terrain are stripped away.
The name points to a trunk road, and the map bears that out. Main routes approach from several directions and meet near the town, pulling the grid along their lines before it thins out into farmland. Around the built-up area, the countryside is divided into large, even plots, a sign of the sugar-cane farming that has long shaped the local economy and the town's growth.
A La Troncal map poster turns this plain into a study of lines and density: a dense cluster of short streets in the middle, long straight roads leaving it, and a quiet field of empty space around them. In monochrome it becomes a graphic record of a working town, built around a road junction and an agricultural landscape rather than hills or water.
The centre is laid out in a close, even grid of blocks. Rendered in black and white, the pattern gives the poster a steady rhythm from edge to edge.
Main roads run into town from several directions and meet near its centre, a layout that matches the name and gives the composition clear, strong axes.
Beyond the last blocks, the map opens into broad cultivated plains linked to sugar-cane growing, a calm border of space around the dense urban core.

Koteā ko La Troncal
For people who grew up in La Troncal or have family ties there, the map is a clear reminder of home: the blocks they walked, the roads out of town, and the fields at its edge. It makes a quiet, personal piece for a hallway, a study or a new home far away.
You can change the title, subtitle and coordinates line to mark a name, a family date or a year of moving, then pick Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. It comes as a $9 set of HD digital files or as a printed poster with an optional wooden frame.
