Leine floodplain
The Leine runs along the western side of town, bordered by meadows and still water. On paper these form a band of open, organic shapes set against the built-up area.

Te mapa
Laatzen lies directly south of Hannover in Lower Saxony, and from above the two are hard to tell apart. The town runs in a long band from north to south. The meadows and still water of the Leine valley lie along its western edge, and residential districts, shopping areas and tram lines fill the ground to the east.
On its eastern side Laatzen meets the Hannover exhibition grounds, one of the largest trade fair sites in the world and the main venue of the Expo 2000 world's fair. On the map this appears as a striking block of large halls and wide access roads. Its scale contrasts with the finer streets of Laatzen's older village cores.
A Laatzen map poster brings those layers together: the soft, irregular shapes of the Leine floodplain, the dense suburban streets in the centre and the geometric mass of the fairground. For a town of its size the composition is unusually varied, shaped by a river on one side and an international event venue on the other.
The Leine runs along the western side of town, bordered by meadows and still water. On paper these form a band of open, organic shapes set against the built-up area.
The Hannover fairground borders Laatzen to the east. Its huge halls, car parks and straight access roads make it one of the most geometric areas on the map.
Light rail lines run from central Hannover through Laatzen, and the streets organise themselves along these corridors. This gives the town a clear north–south spine.

Koteā ko Laatzen
For people who live in Laatzen or grew up there, the map shows something that directions never quite convey: how the town sits between the river meadows and the city. It also suits anyone whose working life has revolved around the fairground next door.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line with a street name, a move-in date or a family name. There are five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. The $9 download includes a 300 DPI PNG and a print-ready PDF in each of six sizes.
